A new wave of educational excitement is sweeping through the Achiase District following the launch of the Dollar City Maths Quiz 2025, a collaborative initiative by Dollar City, the Bulk Money Foundation, and Prince Anin-Agyei, popularly known as Chairman Prince.
The programme, officially unveiled at the Dollar City Auditorium in Akim Achiase, aims to nurture young minds through mathematics and logical reasoning.
The competition is set to commence on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, featuring multiple inter-school rounds involving basic schools from across the district.
Organisers describe the Dollar City Maths Quiz as more than a contest — it is a platform to ignite intellectual curiosity and foster a love for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) among young learners.
Speaking at the launch, Prince Anin-Agyei highlighted the transformative potential of the initiative:
“This is not just another quiz; it’s a platform to awaken brilliance. When our children begin to see that mathematics and logic are not difficult but powerful tools of creation, we begin to shape a new generation of thinkers who will change their communities,” he said.
The event is jointly spearheaded by three partners sharing a vision for youth empowerment and community transformation:
- Dollar City, a fast-growing local enterprise driving development initiatives in Akim Achiase.
- Bulk Money Foundation, a non-profit organisation championing education and youth advancement.
- Prince Anin-Agyei (Chairman Prince), a respected community leader devoted to fostering knowledge and opportunity among the youth.
Together, these partners have committed to using education as a catalyst for social and economic growth in the Achiase District and beyond.
The 2025 edition has garnered strong support from the Ghana Education Service (GES) in Achiase, the Achiase District Assembly, and key community stakeholders, including religious leaders and traditional authorities, reflecting a collective belief that education remains the foundation for sustainable development.
At the heart of the Dollar City Maths Quiz are four guiding principles: excellence, equity, empowerment, and community impact. Organisers say these values ensure that every participating school, regardless of size or location, has an equal opportunity to showcase talent and inspire others.
Beyond the competition, plans are underway to expand the initiative into a regional and national STEM platform, offering bright students access to mentorship, career guidance, and scholarships to support their educational journeys.

The long-term goal is to produce not only top-performing students but future leaders and innovators capable of driving Ghana’s technological and industrial transformation.
All basic schools in and around the Achiase District have been encouraged to register for the quiz. Parents, teachers, corporate bodies, and development partners are also being urged to support the initiative to ensure its long-term success.
With its blend of education, innovation, and community spirit, the Dollar City Maths Quiz 2025 stands as a beacon of hope for young minds eager to turn numbers into ideas — and ideas into progress.
