The EllaCares Foundation continues to make a remarkable impact in promoting literacy and quality education in Ghana through its Wisdom Readers Challenge, an initiative that celebrates young readers and encourages a lifelong love for learning.
Held at Meadow Basic School in Darkuman, Accra, the challenge took place in two exciting phases, the first on 19th July 2025, and the grand finale on 19th September 2025.

The program forms part of the Foundation’s efforts to support SDG 4 (Sustainable Development Goals) Quality Education by fostering reading excellence among schoolchildren.
The first phase introduced students to the inspiring book Rich Dad Poor Dad, with twenty copies shared among top-performing pupils from Basic 5 to JHS 2.
This activity motivated early participation and set the tone for the competitive and exciting final stage in September.

The grand finale of the Wisdom Readers Challenge celebrated excellence in education with rewarding prizes and recognition for outstanding students.
• First Place: Joel Mends Buah — awarded a one-term bursary.

• Second Place: Henry Ampadu — received twelve exercise books and a math set.

• Third Place: Samuel Asopiah received 12 exercise books.

Each winner also received a citation of excellence, honouring their effort and dedication to reading.
Through this initiative, EllaCares Foundation aims to nurture confidence, creativity, and curiosity among children while empowering them with the tools and motivation to succeed academically.

The Foundation also extended appreciation to partners, educators, and community supporters who contributed to making the event a success.
The Wisdom Readers Challenge stands as a shining example of how community-driven efforts can shape a brighter, more literate future for Ghana’s young generation.
