Bole DCE urges residents to avoid indiscriminate waste disposal

-

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bole, Abdulai Muhammad, has cautioned residents against indiscriminate dumping of refuse around their homes.

His warning follows the district’s participation in the National Sanitation Day exercise on November 1, 2025, part of President John Dramani Mahama’s nationwide sanitation initiative.

Speaking to the media, the DCE described the exercise as a crucial government effort to curb the spread of diseases linked to poor waste management.

He revealed that the Bole District Assembly has enacted new sanitation by-laws, cautioning that anyone found violating them will be prosecuted to serve as a deterrent.

Mr. Abdulai Muhammad commended shop owners, residents, and the youth for their active participation in the clean-up exercise and urged them to maintain the momentum.

Some residents expressed support for the government’s initiative, welcoming the idea of dedicating the first Saturday of every month to cleaning their surroundings.
