Asutifi North MP begins rural electrification extension

-

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asutifi North Constituency in the Ahafo Region, Dr. Ebenezer Kwaku Addo, has begun extending electricity to several rural communities to improve the lives of residents.

After introducing the contractor to the chiefs and people of Biaso Kasapin, Solomon, Quarshiekrom, and other nearby communities, the MP told Adom News that six communities in the Gambia Agravi zone have remained off the national grid for years, a situation that has hindered development and slowed the progress of residents.

He explained that during his 2024 election campaign, he promised to ensure these communities would be connected to the national grid if the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was elected into power. “That is exactly what the party is now delivering,” he noted.

The contractor, Nana Amankwah Emmanuel, assured residents that the project would be completed by the end of 2025, paving the way for the affected communities to enjoy electricity for their daily activities.

Nana Kwadwo Boateng, the Benkumhene of Kwaadeɛkrom, commended the MP for fulfilling his promise and pledged the community’s support to ensure quality work is done.
