The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has confirmed the arrest of a soldier seen in a viral video assaulting two civilians at a pharmacy in Burma Camp.
In a statement signed by Acting Director of Public Affairs, Captain Veronica Arhin, GAF noted that the soldier was arrested on Thursday morning by Military Police personnel.
“The suspect is assisting with investigations, and the victims have also undergone medical care and are cooperating with the investigations,” the statement said.
GAF assured the public that it will not condone any assault on civilians or protect any officer involved in such acts.
