The Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has announced the expansion of its financial assistance programme to include students of the Ghana School of Law.
According to a statement from the Fund, the move follows a directive from President John Mahama to make professional law students eligible for the Students’ Loan Plus scheme.
Under the new arrangement, students pursuing legal education can apply for full fee coverage loans through the initiative, which forms part of the government’s broader effort to enhance access to higher education and support professional training through innovative financing mechanisms.
“This move ensures that students pursuing professional legal training are not hindered by financial constraints,” the SLTF stated.
“It aligns with our mission to promote equitable access to quality higher education for all Ghanaians,” the statement added.
Eligible applicants can access the Students Loan Plus scheme through the No Fees Stress Portal on the Fund’s website at www.sltf.gov.gh, where they can select the loan option and complete the online application process.
The SLTF also assured prospective beneficiaries of continued support, noting that assistance is available via its helplines or through email at info@sltf.gov.gh.
The Fund reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring equitable financing opportunities for all Ghanaian students, including those enrolled in professional programmes such as law.
