Ibrahim Mahama urges wealthy Ghanaians to support their communities

-

Businessman and philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama has called on affluent Ghanaians to extend support to their communities, stressing that wealth should be used to uplift others and drive national development.

Speaking at an engagement with movie stars in Kumasi, Mr. Mahama emphasized the importance of giving back, describing it as a moral responsibility rather than a choice.

“If you live in a country where help is needed and you don’t help, you are a stupid man. You can’t be the richest man in the cemetery. You’ll die and leave it one day,” he said.

The event, which also served as an official invitation to the collaborative dramalogue programme “Akwaaba vs Oobakɛ”, a partnership between Liezer-Legacy Productions and the Kumawood Ashanti Film Association (KAFA), aims to raise funds for a permanent KAFA office complex to support the growth of film and theatre in the Ashanti Region.

Mr. Mahama urged the wealthy to set aside political and social divisions and work together to address community challenges.
