Billionaire politician and husband of actress Regina Daniels, Prince Ned Nwoko, has addressed a viral video circulating online that falsely links him to a young woman.
In a statement issued by the Delta North Senator, he explained that the woman featured in the video had visited him as part of a delegation under the Peace Ambassadors Initiative, led by Ambassador Dr. Adejo Sule.
According to Nwoko, the footage was taken during an official courtesy visit, but social media users have since misrepresented the encounter, spreading false claims about a personal relationship between him and the woman.
He described the situation as unfortunate, lamenting how social media has become a space where moments are often “twisted for clout and misinformation.”
“During the visit, photographs were taken with members of the delegation, as is customary whenever I receive guests. Even in public places or outdoor events, people often request to take pictures with me, and I oblige,” he explained.
The senator stated emphatically that the news being circulated is entirely false, stressing that he has no personal or private connection with the woman in question.
Nwoko further cautioned individuals, groups, and media outlets against spreading the fabricated story, warning that any continued circulation of the false narrative would attract legal action.
He reminded the public that the Cybercrime Act remains in effect and applies to anyone involved in the deliberate spread of misinformation or defamation online.
