Akrofuom MP warns against paying for military recruitment, threatens police action

-

The Member of Parliament for Akrofuom, Joseph Azumah, has cautioned the public against paying money to anyone who claims they can secure military recruitment opportunities in his name.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show , the MP said such actions amount to corruption and warned that he would report anyone involved to the police.

“If anyone pays money in my name, believing I can help them get into the military, they shouldn’t come to me if it doesn’t work out,” he stated.

Mr Azumah urged his constituents and party members not to give money to individuals claiming to have connections in government or the military, describing them as fraudsters.

“Anyone taking money for military recruitment now is a thief. No matter the position the person holds in the party, don’t fall for that. Follow the system, or you’ll waste your money,” he said.

He added that anyone caught using his name to defraud others would face the law, emphasizing the need for transparency and fairness in the recruitment process.
