The Black Stars of Ghana have climbed two places in the latest FIFA World Ranking, reflecting their impressive form at the tail end of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The four-time African champions, who rose by one spot in the previous update, now sit 73rd in the world after a successful October international window.
Despite this progress on the global stage, Ghana remain 14th in Africa.
Otto Addo’s men were in fine form, thrashing Madagascar 5–0 in Morocco before edging Comoros 1–0 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
These results secured top spot in Group I and sealed qualification for the 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
With qualification confirmed, the Black Stars will shift their attention to two international friendlies against Japan and South Korea on November 14 and 18, respectively, as they continue preparations for the global showpiece.
