President Mahama has lost the fight against galamsey – Gyataba

Leader of the United Front Party (UFP), Nana Agyenim Boateng, popularly known as Gyataba, believes Presidenti Mahama has failed in the fight against galamsey.

According to him, the President’s approach in tackling the issue is not the best, and this has led to his complete failure.

In an exclusive interview with Adom News, Gyataba urged the President to change his strategy in the fight against galamsey.

“From the way he was speaking against the Akufo-Addo government on galamsey some years ago, this is not what we expect from him,” he said.

Gyataba criticized the President’s comment during a press encounter, where he said he cannot declare galamsey a state of emergency, symbolizing that he is not ready for the fight.

“The records indicate that a lot of the NDC members are into the galamsey, so he should step his foot down to tackle it because he can, ” said Nana Boateng.

He noted that more of Ghana’s forest reserves, rivers, and farmlands are under attack by galamseyers, which threatens a sustainable future for the country.

“President Mahama has no option but to deliver Ghanaians from the galamsey menace, as Ghanaians voted for him to save us from this mess.He should change his approach and strategy,” he stated.
