Office of Diaspora Affairs partners with Chef Abbys to showcase Ghanaian cuisine globally

The Office of the President – Diaspora Affairs has officially partnered with celebrated Ghanaian chef, Chef Abbys, to showcase Ghana’s culinary heritage on the global stage.

The collaboration will see Chef Abbys lead diaspora-focused culinary initiatives designed to celebrate Ghanaian culture, strengthen ties with the diaspora community, and position Ghana as a hub for authentic African cuisine.

Sharing her excitement, Chef Abbys described the partnership as both a milestone in her career and a responsibility to use food as a bridge for cultural diplomacy.

“This partnership is more than about food; it’s about celebrating culture, building connections, and showcasing the richness of Ghana’s culinary heritage globally. I’m thrilled for this new journey and grateful for the opportunity to make an impact through my craft,” she said.

Director of Diaspora Affairs, Mr. Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), praised Chef Abbys for her creativity and commitment, noting that the partnership will elevate Ghana’s cuisine while inspiring diaspora engagement.

Highlighting the government’s support, the agreement states: “As a token of our endorsement, the Office of Diaspora Affairs will work with your team to amplify the visibility of these initiatives across our global diaspora networks, encourage participation from both public and private sector partners, and provide protocol facilitation to ensure broad-based stakeholder engagement.”

Through this initiative, the Office of Diaspora Affairs aims to boost media collaborations and content creation around Ghana’s culinary identity, fostering stronger connections between Ghanaians at home and abroad.
