Black Stars set to depart for N’Djamena ahead of World Cup qualifier against Chad

The Black Stars are set to leave Accra today, September 2, for N’Djamena to face Chad in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Thursday.

Ghana began preparations on Monday, September 1, with 12 players participating in the first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium. The remaining squad members are expected to join ahead of departure.

Coach Otto Addo’s side will hold a final session in Accra before travelling and are scheduled to train in N’Djamena on Wednesday ahead of the Group I clash.

The fixture will be played at Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno, with kick-off set for 13:00 GMT.

Following the match in Chad, the Black Stars will return to Accra to host Mali in their Matchday 8 encounter on Monday, September 8, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Ghana currently tops Group I with 15 points from six matches, positioning them strongly for a fifth FIFA World Cup appearance.
