Global Patriots Germany, a pro-New Patriotic Party (NPP) group, has congratulated all five aspirants of the party who have successfully filed their nominations to contest the upcoming presidential primary.
In a statement signed and released on Thursday, the group described the move by the aspirants as a demonstration of their commitment to serve both party and country.
Those who filed include former NPP General Secretary Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong, former Assin Central MP Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Minister of Food and Agriculture and Abetifi MP Dr. Bryan Acheampong, former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and former Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.
According to Global Patriots Germany, the decision of the aspirants to step forward reflects “patriotism, courage, and dedication to Ghana’s democratic journey.”
The group further urged both aspirants and their supporters to uphold the values of patience, respect, and unity throughout the campaign process.
“This contest is not only about individuals but also about the collective progress, strength, and vision of the New Patriotic Party,” the statement emphasized.
It also called on the contestants to avoid divisive rhetoric and instead promote togetherness and mutual respect.
The group stressed that when the contest ends, the party must emerge “stronger, more united, and ready to lead Ghana with renewed vigor.”
Global Patriots Germany reiterated its firm support for transparency, fairness, and integrity in the electoral process, expressing confidence that the NPP will settle on a candidate capable of leading the party to victory in 2026 and beyond.
“Let us continue to work together in unity for the progress of the New Patriotic Party, the advancement of Ghana, and the fulfillment of our shared vision of development in freedom,” the group added, concluding with the slogan: “NPP First! Unity First!”
