
The chiefs and people of Sikaman and Brofoyedru have expressed profound gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama and his government for their support following the recent military helicopter crash.
In a statement signed by Member of Parliament Joseph Azumah, the communities commended the President for donating GH¢100,000 to 13 residents who helped recover the bodies of the eight victims, and an additional GH¢20,000 to traditional authorities for performing the required rites.
They also welcomed the President’s pledge to construct two community centres and complete the Kojo Nkwanta-Tutuka road, describing these projects as lasting investments in their development.
The statement further acknowledged the swift intervention and coordination of the Ashanti Regional Minister during the tragedy, noting that the government’s compassion and actions have reassured the communities that their welfare remains a national priority.
