The Executive Director and Head of Global Research at Global Info Analytics, Mussa Dankwah, has rejected claims of bias in the organisation’s recent survey ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) internal elections scheduled for January 2026.
The poll, conducted by the research firm, ranked former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the frontrunner in the NPP presidential race.
Speaking at the International Hausa Day celebration in Kumasi on Tuesday, August 26, organised by the Zongo-Hausa Youth Association under the Sarkin Zango Palace, Dankwah emphasised that the organisation’s work is evidence-driven and not influenced by personal opinion or external pressure.
“As far as we are concerned, we believe in data… Sometimes I do a poll and I don’t feel well about it, but that is not my view, that is the view of the people. So it doesn’t matter what numbers say, we will say it as it is. We have no interest in declaring somebody a winner or a loser,” he said.
Touching on the upcoming Akwatia by-election, Dankwah revealed that Global Info Analytics will release its projections on Friday, August 29.
In a related message, he urged Ghanaians to end stigma against the Hausa community, stressing that a person’s name should not determine access to opportunities or rights. He also encouraged Zongo youth to actively engage in efforts to curb drug abuse in their communities.
