President John Dramani Mahama’s official X account (@JDMahama) has been hacked.

The Minister of State for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, confirmed this in an interview on Accra-based GHOne TV.

This comes after the account was used to promote a cryptocurrency scam linked to Solanafrica, sparking mixed reactions.

The fraudulent post claimed the project was “led by Ghana’s President  John Mahama to make payments across Africa free using the Solana blockchain.”

The token has since been rug-pulled, leaving investors with losses.

However, Abura Asebu Kwamankese MP Felix Kwakye Ofosu has assured that efforts are underway to recover the account and urged Ghanaians to disregard any suspicious posts from the handle.

“Well, there’s been a hack. Some unscrupulous persons have compromised it, but efforts are underway to recover it, and it should be recovered any moment from now,” he stated
