Security personnel in Ahafo Ano North in the Ashanti region reportedly fired gunshots after angry voters expressed their frustration over the collation process in Tepa.
The irate residents vandalised properties, causing Electoral Commission (EC) officials to suspend collation.
The officials were relocated temporarily for their safety.
Meanwhile, the security services remain in a standoff with the group, with gunshots still being heard.
