The 7th Edition of the Volta Trade and Investment Fair has been officially launched at Juapong with a renewed call for businesses and investors to take advantage of the region’s vast economic opportunities.
The fair, which has become the Volta Region’s flagship economic and trade event, is expected to bring together entrepreneurs, local industries, corporate bodies, and international investors to showcase goods, services, and innovations while deepening trade and investment ties.
Speaking at the launch on the theme “Volta Rising: Building Global Partnership for a Thriving 24-hour Economy,” the CEO for Volta Fair, Fred Avenyor, emphasized that the fair has, over the years, provided a unique platform for business networking, market expansion, and the promotion of Made-in-Ghana products.
He noted that this year’s edition will focus on strengthening partnerships and attracting investment into agro-processing, manufacturing, tourism, energy, and digital technology sectors.
Togbe Patamia Dzekle VII, Vice President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, who delivered a message on behalf of Togbui Tepre Hodo IV, President of the House, urged organizers to be mindful of protecting the environment even as investments expand. He also pledged the House of Chiefs’ full commitment to the 7th Edition of the Volta Trade and Investment Fair.
As traditional leaders and representatives from the private sector graced the occasion, the Dean of the MMDCEs in the Volta Region, Jerry Ameko, highlighted the need for collaborative efforts to harness the region’s strategic location and natural resources for economic transformation. On behalf of the MMDCEs, he pledged their full support towards the fair.
The fair is expected to draw exhibitors and participants from across Ghana and beyond, creating opportunities for job creation, youth empowerment, and industrial growth.
What began years ago as a regional exhibition has now grown into a major national event and a driving force for socio-economic development in the Volta Region. This year’s edition promises to be bigger, more diverse, and impactful, with organizers urging all stakeholders to come on board to make it a success.
