The recruits, made up of 257 males and 92 females, represent the latest intake into the Ghana Navy after successfully completing a rigorous nationwide selection process.

At a formal departure ceremony held at Nicholson Stadium on Friday, March 27, 2026, Deputy Chief Staff Officer for Naval Administration, Naval Captain Isaac Ziem Aratuo, congratulated the recruits and urged them to remain disciplined throughout their training.

He advised them to strictly adhere to military regulations and demonstrate commitment, stressing the need to emerge as capable personnel ready to serve the country.

Meanwhile, the Director of Manpower at the General Headquarters, Commodore FA Nyarko, received a briefing on the logistical arrangements to ensure the smooth transportation of the recruits to the training facility.

The six-month programme is expected to equip the recruits with the skills, discipline, and resilience required for naval operations.

The latest recruitment forms part of ongoing efforts by the Ghana Navy to strengthen its human resource capacity and enhance its ability to safeguard the country’s maritime domain and contribute to national security.
