2,080 Public Service appointments reviewed after December 7 elections — Kwakye Ofosu

The Minister for Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has disclosed the findings of a committee set up to review the revocation of recruitments, appointments and promotions made into the Public Service after the December 7 elections.

In a Facebook post, Mr. Kwakye Ofosu said the committee, constituted by the Chief of Staff, examined the affected appointments and made key recommendations.

According to him, a total of 2,080 individuals were affected by the initial directive revoking the appointments.

Out of this number, 1,201 appointments were upheld after being found to have complied with due process, while 541 were revoked for failing to meet procedural requirements.

Additionally, 338 appointments involving persons with disabilities were upheld following the review.
