The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has outlined the Black Stars’ official program ahead of their September 2025 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Chad and Mali.
Ghana, who lead Group I with 15 points, will begin the window with an away trip to N’Djamena to face Chad on Thursday, September 4.
They will then return home to host Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, September 8 — a fixture widely seen as decisive for their qualification hopes.
According to the GFA, players are expected to report to camp between Sunday, August 31, and Monday, September 1. The team’s first training session is set for September 1 at the Accra Sports Stadium and will be open to the public and the media.
Preparations will intensify with a closed-door session the following day before Otto Addo’s squad departs for Chad. Upon arrival in N’Djamena, the Black Stars will hold their final pre-match workout on Wednesday, September 3.
After facing Chad, the team will return to Accra on Friday, September 5, for a recovery session, also open to fans and journalists.
Closed training follows on Saturday, September 6, before the final build-up session on Sunday, September 7, which will allow limited media access.
The home clash against Mali on September 8 is expected to be a crucial test as Ghana look to strengthen their grip on Group I and edge closer to a fifth FIFA World Cup appearance in the United States, Mexico, and Canada in 2026.
