The 1985 Year Group of Kumasi Academy (KUMACA) has donated a brand-new public address (PA) system to their alma mater as part of activities marking their 40th anniversary homecoming celebration.
The presentation ceremony, held at the school’s assembly hall on Saturday, brought together old students, teachers, and current students in a joyous atmosphere of reunion and reflection.

The new PA system is expected to enhance communication and improve the organization of school events and activities.
President of the 1985 Year Group, Mr. Agyeman Badu Collins, officially handed over the equipment to the school’s headmaster, Mr. Samuel Gato.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Collins said the donation formed part of the group’s commitment to supporting the school’s development and inspiring current students to strive for excellence.
The headmaster, Mr. Gato, expressed deep appreciation on behalf of the school, noting that the equipment would significantly benefit both staff and students.

The ceremony was chaired by the Chief of Nkwanta-Kese, Nana Yam Boakye Ababio II, an alumnus from the 1982 Year Group, while the special guest, Mr. Conduah, commended the 1985 group for their thoughtful contribution and dedication to the school’s progress.

The event was filled with excitement and nostalgia as old students reunited, shared fond memories, and renewed their commitment to continue supporting Kumasi Academy.
